- Fail fast, win bigger.
Fail fast, win bigger.
Hi buddy,
Scrolling past đť•Ź (formerly Twitter) yesterday I saw a post I resonated with.
Here's the post:
****
"Trying can cause failure.
Not trying guarantees regrets.
Newsflash:
Failures weigh ounces.
But regrets weigh tons.”
****
And it got me thinking because lately I've had so much failure, now I'm even beginning to wonder:
"abi shey na village people dey do me?"
Because I don't understand anymore.
The most recent failure I had was with Facebook ads.
In the past 2 weeks I've spent over 18k on ads without a single sale.
As in ehn…
NOT EVEN ONE.
Who did I offend?
Wetin happen?
But when I felt like complaining, I found out that despite the fact that I've failed…
I still learnt a whole lot.
And 2 lessons stand out for me.
First,
I now know how to create, install and maximize Facebook pixels.
I've always known how important it is…
I've even created a few pixels but I didn't know how to maximize the benefits of Facebook pixels.
The second lesson is that I've been able to get back my 4 restricted Facebook ad accounts.
2 of these accounts have been restricted for close to 3 years now.
So despite the fact that I've suffered some failures lately…
On the flipside, I still won.
Yes I did.
You see…
The pain of regrets hits 10x harder than the pains of failures.
Imagine I didn't try again.
Imagine I just forgot about Facebook ads because of my losses in the past.
I wouldn't have gotten my restricted ad accounts back.
So will I stop advertising on Facebook because I lost my money?
Hell no!
The first thing I did this morning was to take a look at the ad again.
Then I made some changes to it.
I tweaked the targeting.
Changed the ad creative.
Changed my ad performance goal.
And scheduled it to go live at 12 midnight.
Will I hit a home run with the ad this time?
I don't know.
All I've done is to position myself for it.
If I win… I'll celebrate it and share it with you.
if I don't…
I'll count my losses.
Learn the lessons
And try again.
Because in all…
It's way better to try and fail than not try at all.
And that's the Lord's gospel for today.
Bye for now.
Your guy,
Stephen.
PS.
The ad I created on Facebook is to show people how to get back their restricted ad accounts.
If you want to get back your restricted ad account you can take a look at it here.
